Six months or more before
This is the time to deal with persistent concerns such as acne, pigmentation or hair fall, because they need a diagnosis and several months to respond. It is also the right window to begin laser hair reduction, which needs a course of sessions spaced weeks apart.
Three months before
Continue what is working and review progress against your starting photos. Avoid introducing several new active products or procedures at once, because if your skin reacts you will not know which one caused it.
Four to six weeks before
Stick to treatments your skin has already tolerated. Gentle care and hydration matter more now than anything intensive. Confirm the dates of your final appointments so there is recovery time before each function.
The final two weeks
- No new peels, lasers or procedures.
- Keep your routine simple and familiar.
- Protect your skin from sun during pre-wedding events and travel.
- Sleep, water and a steady routine show on skin more than a last-minute fix.
For grooms
The same timeline applies. Common priorities are acne and marks, the beard line, uneven tone and hair thinning. If you are considering a hair system for the wedding, allow time for fitting and a few weeks to get used to it.
